Gerardo Briceno is a founding partner of Ghiaasiaan & Briceno and leads the firm´s criminal
defense and immigration departments.
Gerardo was originally born in Caracas, Venezuela before his family journeyed to the United States
in 1995, settling first in Miami and then relocating to Atlanta in 1996. He received a HOPE
scholarship from the State of Georgia where he attended Georgia State University. He graduated
with B.A in Political Science and was a member of numerous student associations. During his time
at Georgia State, Gerardo also maintained full-time employment as a legal assistant for the Law
Offices of Joseph H. Rosen. He then attended Gonzaga University School of Law where he
graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2013. During his time at Gonzaga, Gerardo interned with
the Department of Homeland Security in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division
where he expanded his knowledge on immigration law in preparation for private practice.
In addition to his legal education, Gerardo has been a successful entrepreneur, owner and co-
founder of several local companies, both before and after founding Ghiaasiaan & Briceño.
Gerardo is licensed to practice in Georgia and is fluent in English, Spanish and French. His focus in
the firm extends to the following areas of practice:
